Robstock Music Festival This Saturday!

Hello friends, family, high-crested august luminaries….
This Saturday marks the debut of Robstock, a music festival dedicated to the life and times of our dear friend Rob Hosty, who passed away in 2008 but continues to inspire our lives and creative endeavors. The festival was created by Rob’s wonderful and dedicated sister Alice, and features tons of amazing artists, raffles, giveaways, and the 20$ admission includes complimentary food from the grill and beer specials, such as $2 Miller Lites. This is also a kid-friendly event with activities (kids under 12 get in free!). Proceeds to benefit Robert Emmett Hosty Junior’s MAKE Art Fund towards a scholarship at Roberto Clemente Community Academy. AND IT’S STEPS FROM THE HARLEM GREEN LINE STOP. Here’s the short list, but hit the website for the full details:

Pitchfork Record Fair

schwag

Hello Friends. I’m pretty excited. We will once again have a booth at the Pitchfork Music Festival this weekend, and we’ll be passing out free downloads, as well as free canvas bags (with the suave c/s logo) to anyone who buys vinyl. All back-catalog cd’s will be 5 bucks, and we’ll have copies of the new Darling record on cream-dream colored vinyl (and cd’s too, ya oldie). Check our tweets starting Friday afternoon for the play-by-play. AT&T, I’m making the finger gesture of the little girl in “Accepted”… Let’s not have a scene. Stop by and say hi if you’re there. Who wants to see Surfer Blood with me?

New Site, Summer Sale, All Back Catalog CD’s 5$

Here it is, the new site, summer 2010. To kick it off (and make a little room on the HQ shelves for those new LP’s from Darling, The Singleman Affair, and The Part Five) we’re selling the whole back catalog for 5$ until the average temperature is 72 again. Glorious. Now if only we could move the office to the Point for the interim. Check the catalog HERE
