Hello. This week’s Cardboard Sangria news is quite Darling. The new record Lights That Last Forever hits stores on Sep 28, but we’re whoopin’ it up on the way there. Here’s a bit of the Jeffery (read as adjective) schedule:

The boys have been nominated to be Deli Magazine’s Chicago Artist of the Month… Vote for them here! You could be responsible for their next single. Hurry up though, the voting ends sep 15. Catch a nice little review of the record in the side bar.. it’s their CD of the Month.

Darling will be playing live and spinning songs on WNUR on Wednesday Sept 22nd at 8pm on the air. That’s 89.3 for you Chilly-towners, but it streams live on their site.

The release party for Lights That Last Forever will be at the Hideout on Thursday September 16th at 9pm. We’ll have records, stuffed fish and glory.

We’re also having a little boozy-soaked listening party at the Burlington on Sep 30. There’ll be DOLLAR BEERS while the record plays (9:30-10:30), and DJ sets from Cardboard Sangria luminaries Sugarcrash, Daniel-san, and more.

Mean Sea Level has lent a track to HBO’s indie detective series “Bored To Death”. Listen for “Keep Anything” from Brett Barton’s self-titled ep on September 26th.
