The new LP from the Part Five, ‘The Tightening’ is available everywhere April 5, especially here. It’s in a limited edition of 200 copies on clear blue vinyl, with covers silkscreened by the band, and jacket design by Gary Pyskacek. These took us a long time to make, and they’re already moving, so don’t hesitate. Once they’re gone, there’s nothing but 1s and 0s left to sell.

The new Singleman Affair LP ‘Silhouettes At Dawn’ is here, and Danny’s been out spreading the word- if you missed the excellent piece on NPR this morning (WBEZ’s 848) by Robert Loerzel, you can listen to the podcast here. We’ll be posting the Vimeo link of the live performance as soon as it’s up. And we’ll be at the Hideout this Friday night, tearin’ it up 7-deep. New Singleman Affair LP out Feb 8
It’s all finally happening- The new Singleman Affair LP “Silhouettes At Dawn” will be released worldwide by Cardboard Sangria on Tuesday, February 8th. A perfect 10 track sculpted folk epic that took years to come together, this album is again the brain-child of Dan Schneider and Graeme Gibson, but this time with the help of a slew of Chicago luminaries crossing all lines of bedroom pleas and psychedelic expansion, all within the classic album format. This will be our lucky 21st release, on black vinyl, digipack, and mp3.

Everything’s so Darling

Hello. This week’s Cardboard Sangria news is quite Darling. The new record Lights That Last Forever hits stores on Sep 28, but we’re whoopin’ it up on the way there. Here’s a bit of the Jeffery (read as adjective) schedule:
The boys have been nominated to be Deli Magazine’s Chicago Artist of the Month… Vote for them here! You could be responsible for their next single. Hurry up though, the voting ends sep 15. Catch a nice little review of the record in the side bar.. it’s their CD of the Month.
Darling will be playing live and spinning songs on WNUR on Wednesday Sept 22nd at 8pm on the air. That’s 89.3 for you Chilly-towners, but it streams live on their site.
The release party for Lights That Last Forever will be at the Hideout on Thursday September 16th at 9pm. We’ll have records, stuffed fish and glory.
We’re also having a little boozy-soaked listening party at the Burlington on Sep 30. There’ll be DOLLAR BEERS while the record plays (9:30-10:30), and DJ sets from Cardboard Sangria luminaries Sugarcrash, Daniel-san, and more.
