No Flies is a free form expression outlet of Brett Barton, a Chicago/LA based songwriter and engineer. After years of performing and recording with Mean Sea Level and The Part Five in Chicago, this project grew out of a desire to improvise and create moods free of song structure and stripped down to the bare essentials. These pieces were the result of little preparation and the excitement that no expectations can bring to a musical moment. Recorded at home in Chicago, the now LA based Brett is releasing these piano-rhythmic tracks and videos as a soundtrack for the unescorted.
